Congratulations to Swede Jonas Blixt for wining this weeks PGA Tour Fall Series event at CordeValle.
In true Happy Gilmore fashin, Blixt decided to play professional golf after becoming overly frustrated with Ice Hockey.
"I was more interested in hockey. I wanted to be a hockey player," the Swede said Sunday after his breakthrough victory in the Frys.com Open. "I never really got big enough or good enough to play. Golf kind of suited me pretty well." Blixt was a defenseman and played hockey well into his teens.
"It's the greatest sport ever," he said. "The lockout just kills me." The third PGA TOUR rookie to win this season, Blixt holed a 4-foot par putt on the final hole for a 3-under 68 and a one-stroke victory over Tim Petrovic and Jason Kokrak. It is unclear in what place ‘Shooter McGavin’ finished the round nor whether he was even in the event, but Blixt’s Happy Gilmore like performance would even gain the praise of Bob Barker this week.

This week’s golf tip is from Adam Scott, as seen in Golf Digest. Here is how Adam plays a fade shot:
'I naturally draw the ball, but I can get the hooks going if I'm not careful. So it's important that I reduce the amount of right-to-left curve by trying to fade it. To pull it off, I feel as if I'm making a more deliberate move through the ball and really keeping my arms from rolling over. I call it "holding off the shot." I'm keeping my arms quiet with far less forearm rotation and delaying the closing of the clubface. You can see here my hips have turned significantly toward the target before the club has reached the ball. That's a good fade feel for me'
