Congratulations to Ricky Fowler for his win in the Wells Fargo Championship Last week. It was Ricky’s breakthrough win on the USPGA Tour. Ricky said it was ‘nice to come off a win. That's something I've been working on for a couple years now, and obviously there's been a lot of expectations, both from the media side and my side, as well’. Ricky now moves up to number 24 in the world rankings. Not bad for the 1988 born 23 year old! Congrats to Matt Kuchar for winning this week’s Tour Championship. The Kooch shot a final round 2 under par 70 to win by 2 shots. He now moves up to 4th on the PGA Tour money list.

This weeks Golf Tip:

This week’s golf tip is from Miguel Jimenez. His tip is currently in the Better Golfer magazine and is about playing bunker shots better. Miguel’s tip is so simple and makes a lot of sense! He says that the golfer should lower their spine angle when playing bunker shots. That is, instead of say having a 75-80 degree spine angle at address, the golfer should lower their chest towards the sand, creating a 60-70 degree spine angle. This will make it easier for the golfer to swing down into the sand, instead of striking the ball first. It takes some practice to get right, but try it sometime, you might find it useful.

Congratulations to Jason Dufner for taking out the New Orleans Classic last week. Jason now moves up to 10th on the PGA Tour money list, and 20th in the World Rankings. The US PGA Tour now heads to Charlotte, North Carolina for the Wells Fargo Championship. The field will feature Rory McIlroy, Jim Furyk, Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods. Woods is reporting that he’s sorted out his swing issues from The Masters....and is anticipating playing well again. He said on his website this week that he’s been working on his posture with Coach Sean Foley, and swinging without aggrevating his knee problem.

This weeks Golf Tip:

This week’s tip is from Tiger’s Coach, Sean Foley. Sean says: You might have been told to sweep the ball off the tee with your driver to maximize distance. But if you frequently hit slices or pulls, this swing thought will likely make your problems go from bad to worse. To cure your slices and pulls, hit down on the ball with your driver. A good thought is to try to take a little divot after impact or to hit with the shaft leaning toward the target. This will help you shift to your front side on the downswing and swing into impact from inside the target line. Sean’s complete tip on hitting down on it with driver can be found by Clicking here
